An evening in Paula's Kitchen

Hi,

Just got done cooking a tasty meal for my family. I made a beef stir fry that my children adored.
I setup my rice cooker with 2 cups of jasmine rice which usually takes about twenty minutes.
I put a few table spoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil into my wok and warmed up the oil. When it was nice and hot I threw in about a quarter pound of chopped lean beef and let it simmer, once it was browned and most of the juices were soaked into the beef, I added a small bag of stir fry frozen veggies which I stirred into the beef. After that I waited till the veggies cooked up with the beef and added a few tablespoons of stir fry sauce, a little garlic powder, and a pinch of salt. I stirred it all up and served it over steamed jasmine rice. Delicious. Thinking about doing a stir fry every night of the week with different types of meat and sometimes using fotu.

Another day working on healthier eating.

Had a salad with shrimps and some spicy ranch dressing for lunch today . I know the ranch was not very good for me but, I like ranch and I like spicy because it just taste good. Looking forward to another day. I hope the weather is nice tomorrow. Bye for now!

Day 1 of trying to cook healthier.

Join me on my journey to better health. I will blog on most days. In my blogs I will post the days events and the cooking that takes place. I will give encouragment and receive encouragement. This blog is for people who love food and are looking for ways to make healthier cost effective food that taste good. My goal is to share with all what it is like to learn a new healthier way of cooking for improved health and to still have a considerable amount of time left in the day. I have to go shopping tomorrow to get something health to start my new adventure in cooking healthy.
